Donna Laframboise and her group of citizen volunteers recently did a thorough examination of references in the IPPC report:
- Climate Bible Gets 21 ‘F’s on Report Card
- READ THE CITIZEN AUDIT REPORT HERE
- The Water Cannon of the Climate Debate
- What’s Left if We Disregard Non-Peer-Reviewed Claims?
- IPCC Reliance on Grey Literature 30 Times Greater than UK Threshold
- IPCC Report Card
My compliments to Donna and her volunteers.

Notice that LaFramboise is careful to mention that the “chairman” said the IPCC report was entirely peer-reviewed. He was wrong. The IPCC procedures clearly spell out the fact that non peer-reviewed literature is allowed: http://www.ipcc.ch/pdf/ipcc-principles/ipcc-principles-appendix-a.pdf (see Annex 2).
Instead of getting her facts straight, LaFramboise wasted time auditing the IPCC report based on an incorrect statement from Pachauri. A thorough investigation would’ve actually examined whether citing non peer-reviewed literature was actually appropriate on a case by case basis. Instead she automatically assumed that everything non peer reviewed is inappropriate. Her report is useless.
Pachauri heads up the IPCC and doesn’t know what they do? How many times have we heard “it’s no good if it’s not peer reviewed”?
“Pachauri heads up the IPCC and doesn’t know what they do?”
Looks like it.
“How many times have we heard “it’s no good if it’s not peer reviewed”?”
Dunno.
